What happens to the children of raped nuns?

Are they generally given up for adoption or raised at the convent or what?

  3. Both. It depends on the Nun and what she wants to do.

  4. They would probably search for a family to adopt the children, unless their order's apostolate (work in the Church) was childcare.

    The life that nuns lead would not be appropriate for a growing child because it is catered to cloistered (never leaving the convent) adult women who understand what living the consecrated life means and have chosen to live that life.

    Children have needs that nuns simply couldn't provide for, such as social recreation with other children and a chance to experience the outside world.
