What happens to the eggs when you have your tubes clamped not tied? or cut?

I just wonder what happens to the eggs after you get your tubes clamped, not tied or cut? Do the ovaries still produce eggs? do they just sit there?

The ovaries still release an egg, they simply don't have anywhere to go.  That's why there is such a thing as a post-tubal ligation baby.  You're still ovulating every month, the egg just isn't able to travel down the fallopian tube to be fertilized by the sperm.  However, crazy things do happen and pregnancy can accur (rare though!).  If everything is working correctly though, then the body simply absorbs the egg after about 24 hours or so.
