What happens to the plastic bag in cascade 2in1 Action Pacs?

I am curious, does that bag automatically gets flushed away? (the little bag that envelops all those dishwashing powder and liquid)

Also, will those little bags eventually clog my dishwasher?

It's not plastic, it's gelatin.

I have been using these for a long time now and haven't had any clogging problems.  The plastic dissolves with the dishwater and all the food.  I'm not sure if they are even really plastic as they are so weak, I sometimes break them open when putting them in.  I wouldn't worry about it because that is what they are made to do.

It dissolves and goes out with the draining water and yes, it can clog up your machine.  (Liquid detergent is clay based and can clog your machine as well.)
