What happens to the shirts that footballer wear after each match ?

Are the shirts sold what do they do with them ? Wash them and re-use ?

  2. no i think they have new shirts for each game, they are 'capped', if you look closely on an official match shirt they should have the date game etc printed in small next to them, its why many professionals like to keep special shirts (eg. one they wore when they won a cup final) and sometimes swap with other players. They players can keep them or if not they are probably sold as merchandise or something by the club.

  3. i play semi-pro football for formby trinity football club and obviously we re-use our shirts i mean after all the local tesco's has a higher weekly income than us so we cant afford to buy several spare kits. i expect the prem clubs will have spare shirts but i doubt they dont reuse them after washing them

    p.s: dodinator they only use special kits with the match printed on it in club football when the team is playing in an international competition or quarter final, semif final or final of a domestic competiton.

    In international football they almost always use special kits that are worn only once
