Question:

What happens to the slipperiness if one mixes soap and ice?

I know that ice is slippery because the surface melts a little and then there's fluid on top of a smooth surface.

I know the same is more or less true for wet soap (it has a think film of water on top of a smooth surface.

But is it possible to combine the two effects, and if so what happens? If a wet bar of soap slides along one ice, is the friction coefficient really low?

(My 4yr old asked this question this evening, and it intrigued me)
