  1. They start to curl in. I don't cut my dogs nails (or take them to a groomer) Because their nails wont be a problem if you walk them regularly. The concrete files them down as they walk or run.

  2. can be very painful for your dog, and your hardwood floors...

i even file my jack russells to a smooth round tip. also helps b/c of jumping dogs.

my jrt likes to jump onto me and then propel off of me onto something else...

  3. they get all curly and weird. Then, it might poke the dog and hurt it. That's a sign you need to cut it. But don't cut it too far, since they have nerves in their nails, and if you cut  one, it will hurt.

  4. lots of bad things can happen. they can get caught on things and torn out. can get stuck in fur while scratching.also if you don't cut them regularly the part called the quick grows which means they will have to be kept longer when they are clipped and will be like that for awhile. they only way to get them normal again after that is with frequent clipping

  5. It will hinder their walking and eventually hurt their feet.

  6. uncomfortable to walk,, the quick grows longer , thereby making nail trimming more painful  etc. etc.

Nails should be clipped ONCE A WEEK from birth...

  7. It can be very painful if your dogs nails get too long.  You need trim them or if that makes you uncomfortable take them to a grooming parlor they'll usually do it for about 5 bucks.  I just bought the peticure and LOVE IT.

  8. You cut them. If the nails are black or very thick have a groomer or vet do it, you don't want to cut into the quick. If it's a small dog and has white nails, you can see the quick and you'll be able to cut the nails. Or if you have the equipment to cut thick nails than just cut off the curl.

  9. you should cut them back.If it gets too long, then it causes the dog pain and in the worst cases curls over and grows back into the tissue. You can cut them yourself but if you're not confident go to the vets

  10. you cut them!

  11. if they curl over it hurts the dog

  12. It needs to be cut!

  13. You cut them or take them someplace to get cut.
