What happens when a elastic ligature falls off?

Question

I got my braces on a month ago and one of my elastic ligature has fallen out.

I think I may be going to the orthodontists tomorrow to get it fixed up.

I'm really scared because I don't want anything wrong to happen because I'm having a jaw operation at the end of the year so I want everything to be fine.

I don't know when I fell off but will it make a big difference?

Please help, I'm scared :(
