Question:

What happens when a passport countersignature is contacted?

I have recently applied for 2 first (UK) passports for my children. One had been returned fine, and the other has had a letter sent to the countersignature person. They have been off work, so do not have the letter yet. What is usually involved in this letter? Do they send the whole passport form back, or do they just ask for information from the countersignature?

Thanks

  1. They would just ask for info from coutersignature. If the form was to be returned it would be to you .

  2. In India, no countersignature person. Application is always signed by applicant.
