What happens when a provident agent calls round for the first time?

I know its wrong to use them but i started my new job about 2 weeks ago, it is very well paid and probably be able to afford the whole repayment with my first wage, so does anyone know what they do or want?

  1. If you have applied on line, on the first visit they need proof of identity (passport or both parts of driving licence) and national Insurance Number. You will then sign the paper work. They then hand over the cash to you and give you a repayment book. They will tell you the day and approximate time they will collect your weekly repayments.


  2. I prefer Greenwoods to Provident. The agents come to your home fill in form for loan they come back next day with money and call each week for payment.

  3. They will want a payment from you, don't worry.

  4. they call for there first installment... if you pay in full contact them by phone to make sure they know first as the agent might keep the money to pay anybody who misses and keep you on the books but not tell you as it happened to my missus...
