What happens when an illegal and a legal person marry ?

my friend is illegal in the united states and she met this guy who is legal. they love each other and they wanted to get married at age of 23. but because she doesn't have papers she cant work and college is super expensive for her. so if they get marry when they're 18 how long would it take for get to be legal? and what will happen? by they way they're 17 right now.

  1. They will have a  llegal baby if born in the USA .... She has to go apply to become llegal.. or she might some day get kicked out...  Why become llegal they get more benefits thay Americas do ...  Where can i apply to become illegal ???


  2. She wouldnt become totally legal for 3 years, but she would mostly likely have more opportunities if she marries the guy.

  3. Nothing much. When you marry a foreign national in the US and you ask for his/her residency, you must show the government that you can support him/her. If one can't support the other (and at 17 it is highly unlikely that they can) then the residency permit will not be issued.  

  4. she is still illegal and has to go home and file to come here legally as is right and proper.
