What happens when i eat but everything has no fat?

what happens if i eat, but everything i eat has very little or no fat. like a fruit and a light yogurt. will i necessarily loose weight? just wondering because so far today the only thing with fat in it that i ate was some cereal and everything else had none.

  1. It really depends on your calorie intake.  Just by eating no or low fat foods will not necessarily make you lose weight.  This is because to make low fat foods taste good, manufacturers usually put a lot of sugar and salt in the food.  The sugar can add unnecessary calories, which can make you gain weight.  

    An all around healthy diet, combined with exercise is your best bet to lose weight.

  4. If you eat no fat (or extremely little) your body will begin to shut down slowly, trust me. I used to think all fat was bad but you actually NEED FAT. 30% of your DV should be from fat. When I ate no fat, my skin began to crack and bleed, cuts didn't heal and my body was very weak. unsaturated fat is essential for building organs, brain cells and your skin.

  5. You won't necessarily lose weight just because what you eat has no fat.  It depends on the total number of calories you eat, the amount of activity and exercise you get, and how many calories you actually need to maintain your weight.  These sites might help you figure it out, but most likely you need at least 1200 calories a day.  Any less than that will do damage to your body.

  6. Fat is a essential nutrient.

    You should at least be eating some 40g of fat in your diet.

    Fat gives you energy, and it helps with hormone production.
