What happens when if a nacscar diver needs to use the bathroom in a nascar race?

Everyone is right about the sweat and not having to go... but the do go in their suits. Several years ago at one of the road courses, Tony Stewart had been sick (diarhea). He choice to start the race and then be replaced by a fill-in driver. He was doing so well that he stayed in the race even though he soiled his suit. As soon as the race was over, he exited his car, got on a golf cart and headed for his RV. Several minutes later he returned in street clothes. Now that's dedication!

they go before, and they usually dont have to during the race because they lose alot because of all the sweating they do, its pretty hot in those cars. And, if they did have to go, they just let it loose! it would dry pretty quickly.

i KNOW sometimes they hold it i remember kyle busch  winning once and he actually waited after his interveiw to go to the bathroom

I think that they sweat so much, it's not really an issue. But no driver is going to pull in to pee, so they just do it in the car.  I know Tony Stewart did it when he was racing on dirt, in the early days ('cause he still races on dirt today). He had to go really bad, couldn't make it to the bathroom, and started the race. Those races are usually short, about 30 laps.  Well, this one was three times as long.  He ended up peeing in his suit.  So I guess you do what you gotta do.  And we all know that wasn't the only time Tony encountered that kind of situation.  The second time he did the same thing, though it was a somewhat different scenario.  Now THAT is a racer.

It depends on the driver.  Most adults can hold it for at least 4 hours (and most races are about 3 and a half).  Actually, I don't ever go at work and with a commute, I am gone 9 hours.  

If a driver has to go, the results vary.  My driver (Kasey Kahne) holds it because he'll whine about how bad he has to pee (I've heard it twice in about 3-4 years).  

Some drivers will go in an empty water bottle under caution.

Some drivers will just go in their firesuit and the heat dries it quickly.  I know Jr has done this before.

sometimes times they pee themselves... on foxsports.com they had this thing called riding with junior where they have highlights from the radio communication, one conversation was about having to pee and tony eury jr told him to go and junior said no this is a new suit... so it happens

what's a nascar diver?  if they have to go badly enough, they do.  but most claim they don't normally need to during the race... they go before, and they sweat a lot during the race.  it has happened on occasion though, and there have been different solutions over time for this problem.
