I just want to know what happens when on party violates an order of protection by writing something on the internet and directing it towards the other party. What does the court do to the person that violates the order?

  1. If the person that has the order of protection decides  to pursue the matter the person that violates the order can either be fined or spend a maximum of 30 days in Jail.

  2. I don't know.  Court systems among other things probably need to catch up with modern technology.

  3. I would report it, but they did not make direct contact so maybe nothing will be done to this person....but everything they do I would report it and the judge will have to act  because he/she will see that you are being violated and it could lead to danger. Be safe!

  4. It actually depends on what party violates the order, if the person that the order was filed against violates it they can be arrested, if the person who took out the order violates it, it voids the order all together

  5. get in touch with the court and tell them
