  1. BOING!  it bounces!  big mess


  2. From what I understand that is a crime and you could be prosecuted. If you are lucky they will contact you so that you could make restitution with a penalty fee from them added.

    If you are smart you would contact them in advance explain and make it right. The best thing would be just not write one in the first place:)

  3. it is returned unpaid.  The writer of the check could be criminally liable.
