  1. it will make a big mess

  2. I don't know about merging, but the theory of them orbiting each other for some time is more plausible at the moment.  The galaxy andromeda actually has 2 super massive black holes orbiting each other at the center of the galaxy, indicating andromeda has swallowed another galaxy, black hole and everything.  Milky way galaxy is next by the way.

  3. you get an even bigger black hole?

  4. I.Parallel to axis of spin..an object resembling a cosmic string. Spins both +..an effective 'space tunnel'..Spins +/-..an effective time tunnel.

2.Perpendicular to spin axis..recoil if opp spins dragging accretion matter apart..coalesence if same spins..bigger black hole...huge increased production of gamma ray flux

Should be able to detect instances of 2 by observing galaxies in colliding/recoil configurations.

  5. Two theories for this one at the moment- either they merge into one, or go into orbit with each other. If you want to know the whys and wherefores of this, you'll need to check out some uni websites, because if I knew the details I'd be off earning lots of money instead of mooching round on Answers.

  6. They form an even bigger black hole.

  7. they form an emo

  8. They would merge into one bigger black hole.

  9. I wish I could answer this one!!,great question though.

  10. " The **** hits the fan "

  11. Actually, they form what is called a worm hole. It is suppose to be a theory that instead of sucking light in, it spits it out!

  12. im reading stephen hawkings ' a brief history of time' at the moment, he hasnt mentioned blackholes yet :/ (im up to the 3rd chapter)

  13. Nothing might happen, As their gravity might get nullified by one another. May stand just side by side.

    Just a guess.

  14. There will be a release of graviataional energy and a very long gravitational wave will be emitted as they collide to form a bigger blach hole.

  15. They would just pull each other in and kind of merge together in to one black hole.
