What happens when u rip money?

my friends accidentally ripped my $100 bill.

what do I do?

Tape it together and you'll be OK.

A rip is a rip, tape it together. If it gets torn all the way through, take it to your local bank, they will have to verify the #'s on each side of it (that they match) and can cash it in for you.

If it's got a couple of tears in it or is in a few pieces, then tape it together.

If they really did a number on it, and it's in a lot of pieces, then gather up all the pieces, especially the ones with the serial numbers, all of them, and bring it to the bank.  They'll trade for a new one.  If you're missing the serial numbers, you're out of luck.

bart is correct just tape it together and it will spend. when it gets to the bank they will send it back for replacement bills with the federal reserve
