What happens when u take boxing lessons for the first time?

More than likely you will come home sore because you will be using muscles that you are not accustomed to using.

The first lesson should be learning your stance.

Where you place your feet, and bounce from one foot back to the other foot.   It teaches you balance.

As well as where your fists / hands should be placed in a defensive position.

Nothing else.

Most likely the trainers there will teach you the basics; Your stance, punches, defense, footwork, etc etc. Most gyms will probably let you hit the heavy bag on the first day.

The equipment is explained to you, you get to put on headgear, and bite a mouthpiece...

you learn stances and practice a couple defensive maneuvers, and perhaps throw a few punches.

When you go home your quads and calves are killing you, and you have to decide if you want to do it again

You must bite that thing as you may not lose your teeth ! Than you learn how to defense and the position of defense and a simple move of attack.

It depends.

If you are taking boxing lessons from someone good, they will teach you first how to get into shape. This will hurt. (Running, skipping rope, training circuits with medicine ball, push ups sit ups, more skipping, etc.) Then they will teach you how to stand and move. A really good school will spend a lot of time on movement. Then they will teach a punch or two. first lesson over.

A bad school will start you sparring right away. This will also hurt, but you will be losing brain cells and not learning anything. A variation on the bad school is one where you do some aerobic exercise, do not experience exercise hurt, and learn nothing.
