What happens when we bring the troops home and we attacked again?

The Democrats will immediately start screaming about, "Why didn't we protect ourselves from a new attack?" and "Where was the Army/Navy/Air Force??", and try to blame it all on Bush and the Republicans, all the while congratulating themselves for having cut the military budget down to pennies.

The Republicans will start to shout back, "See??!! We told you this would happen if we pulled out too early!!  Now you have nobody to blame but yourselves."

And nothing will be resolved because the Democrats, whom the American people have so blindly believed, will turn themselves inside out with anguish over why President Obama's fireside chats with the enemy have failed to placate them, and why they're being such meanies and awful haters.

The president has nothing to do with what is happening right now. They only have the right to declare war for 90 days without congress doing anything....after that, congress makes all the decisions....

Bush can have certain feelings on the war, as does everyone else.... Even the people against the war........would have decleared war if they were in President Bushes situation!

Our troops will be overseas for years to come. Although we will take a majority out over the next few years, we will always have a bunch over there......

You can end a war over night....people are idiotic! Over time our numbers will decrease...its going to be a long process.

People need to college, do something with their life.....Learn the facts.....the truth....whats right....and what the only options that will create settlement are!

So the Afghanistan based terrorists are in Iraq?  

I'm no military genius...and I don't pretend to be, but how is continuing the fight against Iraq liberating?  Why not pull out and fight a war where the terrorists that actually committed the hanous 9/11 act are.  That way...Iraq can create a democratic foundation and we can actually fight terror.

9/11 was a colossal failure of national security under Condo Rice, not an attack. If 19 uneducated camel thiefs could bring the USA down, there was something terribly wrong to begin with. We had 108 warningns, according to the 9/11 commission.

The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are just distractions from a failed national security effort.
