Question:

What happens when we die?

This is a question for those who don't believe in God or what is written in the Bible. I am curious as to what you thinks happens and what the whole point of our existence is? And why and how are we such complex creatures if we are just humans with no soul or salvation? Just curious as to what the other side thinks. I am not judging and believe everyone is entitled to their opinions. I would just really like to know what others think about possible the most important or sought after question/answer.

  1. Demi W, you look like a truth seeker.

The thing about truth we are not going to live long enough to find the absolute truth where ever that is unless we can find a way to continue our life. Which brings us to the point of life.

P.1217 - §4" Mind is your ship, the Adjuster (spirit) is your pilot, the human will is captain. The master of the mortal vessel should have the wisdom to trust the divine pilot to guide the ascending soul into the morontia(next life) harbors of eternal survival. Only by selfishness, slothfulness, and sinfulness can the will of man reject the guidance of such a loving pilot and eventually wreck the mortal career upon the evil shoals of rejected mercy and upon the rocks of embraced sin. With your consent, this faithful pilot will safely carry you across the barriers of time and the handicaps of space to the very source of the divine mind and on beyond, even to the Paradise Father of Adjusters."

Life has no meaning without a purpose and a source. "P.1219 - §6 In so far as man's evolving morontia soul becomes permeated by truth, beauty, and goodness as the value-realization of God-consciousness, such a resultant being becomes indestructible. If there is no survival of eternal values in the evolving soul of man, then mortal existence is without meaning, and life itself is a tragic illusion. But it is forever true: What you begin in time you will assuredly finish in eternity--if it is worth finishing."

What (Needs)  (at 27 min)above has contributed is so close to my studies that we are able to receave a personal revelation through our spirit it proves to me the truth of revelation.

I'm sure this is not from the source of my studies so it must be revelation.

  2. Then we're not alive.

  3. what does this have to do with dogs?

  4. I think people who dont believe in god or whatever, just believe that you either just like go to sleep and never wake up so your just constantly dreaming or nothing happens your just dead your just dead so there is no brain function.   what I would like to know is what people who believe in god and what is written in the bible think will happen when you die?  do you go to a physical place called heaven?  is heaven floating on clouds? is there a gate?  Do you mingle with others in heaven? Does heaven have any problems beside satan? what is is like living under god's regime? like what is heaven like? what is your life in heaven like? I am very very curious?

  5. If you don't believe in God then  Reincarnation (to animals?) where else would we go???

  6. The point of life is for humans to grow and evolve. Us being complex creatures has enhanced evolution and brought on new technologies, new growth, and stronger, smarter people. When we die, we are no longer a part of the evolution process. We have lived, we die, and other people are born and live and it's their turn to continue the evolution of this world, this universe. Once the human race destroys planet earth we will perhaps live on other planets. We'll never know for sure what is going to happen after we die, because no part of us is still living.

I actually believe in God and what the Bible say. This is a though that one of my "friends" who doesn't believe in that thinks.

  7. I believe that there is some sort of omniscient being, but it is difficult to believe any one religion as being entirely true.  I don't think I am incorrect in assuming that many other religions claim miracles (especially currently in exorcisms).  But back to the questions.

I believe that our souls or whatever is our consciousness is either recycled in new life or that it receives no new information and all we can do is remember.  There's your heaven and h**l for you, hope you had a nice life!  I personally believe this is the only stage we will ever be on (hoping that we don't just get cut off from the world and remember).

  8. I do not know. I have read about it, tried as best I could to assimilate everything, but my conclusion, if one could call it that, is not the experience itself. Only then will I know.

  9. Personally I believe that we go to heaven. But let's say for a moment that there is no heaven. Maybe we all become a part of a higher order. Good versus evil. The good all become one powerful force that fights an all powerful evil force.

But if we're willing to believe in the good versus evil thing then we have to believe in God and Satan, Heaven and h**l.

The point of our existence is to live and do what we feel in our hearts is good. we all have our own concepts as to what is good.

I believe and there is no real evidence to back this. I believe that God lives in our hearts and when those that we love dies they go to a place in our hearts. Those we have no use for go to a dark voidless place. Remember Judge so shall ye be judged.

  10. I think that the point of our existence is to LIVE. When you feel pleasure and pain on Earth it's not validated by the fact that you may get this big present at the end of it. The point is that no one knows what happens after you die, which is a better incentive to live life.

  11. Nothing happens.

Have you ever gone to sleep, then it seems like the next moment you awake and it's morning?

I think death is that darkness in between. That emptiness, that nothing.

  12. "if a man die.shall he live again"_JOB 14:14

  13. I was prepared to offer a logical explanation to your question, but you didn't want those who believe in God or what is written in the scriptures to render their viewpoint.

Nevertheless, the spirit will return to a spirit world to await the Resurrection of body and spirit--equaling the soul--and then will be consigned to its eternal reward.

  14. Humans have a soul, our spirit lives within it. If we didnt we would have no reason to not be happy living lives that we had no choice in. There wouldnt be poetry, or art, and we wouldnt care what happens after death.

When we die, our bodies are left behind and our spirit moves on. When I think of God, i think of him that the perfect state of love, and the perfect parent. I dont think he has the ability to know the future, I dont think he has the ability to know what choices we are going to make. He lives within each of us, but we dont realize it until we accept that. We feel him in us as love. When we do 'sinful' things, just like a real parent he can get dissapointed, maybe even angry. And we use those feelings in order to make decisions and in order to grow.

When we die, maybe God does have a special place for christians. It is a pure place, and a happy place where non-believers cant go. Instead, we are all clumped together. Bad spirits and all.

Maybe, the spiritual life is always there, and life as we know it is just a stepping stone. We live, we love, we learn, we die. If we are enlighted to the fact of spiritual world, when we die we leave the h**l that IS earth and move on to a better place. If were not enlightened, maybe we come back as animals or humans, explaining where we get reincarnation or past life beliefs from. I dont think its a question that humans seek out, its a state. I state of happiness? Of assurance, security? Confidence theres a meaning to life.
