  1. CO2 decomposes into CO and O2 or into C and O2 .


  2. Very little ... it's a very stable molecule.  Hence its usefulness (in conjunction with its high density) in fire-extinguishers over the years.

    In the high temperatures near the bottom of the blast furnace, it will react with hot carbon to produce carbon monoxide:

    CO2 + C --> 2CO

  3. It turns into carbon monoxide

    Its a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas.

    You can die from inhaling it.
