  1. When wood is burned, it releases smoke,

    carbin dioxide and other gasses thet contribute to atmospheric pollution.


  2. The result of anything burning is ashes and carbon dioxide.  Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that helps trap infared rays in the earth.  To much greenhouse gasses can cause to much infared to be kept in the earth, making it heat up more.
