What happens when you are called to jury duty?

Received notice that I have been called for jury duty. So what happens next? Any insight would be helpful. Thanx

If you get selected for a trial you say not guilty unless it was obvious that the defendent was guilty of an UNNECESSARY VIOLENT crime on an INNOCENT person.  Other than that let the parties involved settle it by letting the defendent go.  Remember you could be responsible for someone being locked in a cage for years because of a plant, powder, prostitution or other non-crimes.

By law you have to be there.

Be mercyful with the suspects. Let the Judge decide, be honest with your self. You might send an innocent to jail!

u will probably be asked questions but, i really don't know. was only called once for jury duty but, i was relieved from showing up due to military. was called for jury duty in georgia, but live in california.

You show up and find the room and sit there until the judge comes in and they call you up there and they ask if you have a problem and can't show up.

But you mainly sit and wait to be called and they will tell you that you have been picked to be a juror. But if you have a problem like you can read or write or comprehend any of them you will be ask to go home.

If they need you, you will go there and sit in room waiting to be called.

They will give you a questionaire.

If you get into a Jury pool, you answer some questions to see if they want to exclude you from the jury.  Don't play games.  I've seen people try their best to get excluded and they all end up the pool for civil trials (they last forever!!)

If you are selected for a jury, you will sit in the box and listen.  When it is all all presented, you will mett, elect a foreman then discuss the case and vote.  

It is all very simple.  You will be given instructions along the way.
