  1. The airline will probably refuse to let you board the flight. They are fined if they transport someone who does not have proper entry documentation. If you manage to get on the flight, you risk being deported immediately on arrival.

If you are in your home country, call whichever government agency issues passports. If you are in a different country, call the Embassy or nearest consulate of your country of citizenship. Explain your situation. They may be able to issue a new passport on an expedited basis so that you can fly back.

  2. I wouldn't think they would allow you on the plane without your passport being current. I'm fairly sure that's the first thing they check on International flights.

  3. I'm not sure in that particular situation but I have a 10 year tourist visa for the USA and when my passport expired and i got a new one the American consulate told me I could travel to the USA with my new passport showing them my old one where the visa was. And it has been no problem at all. So my advise is to at least try to get a new passport before flying.

  4. I guess they got sloppy, and didn`t check your tickets against your passport when you left.  Customs has more power than any other police force.  They can do whatever they want with your, including deporting you to your home country.  As far as I know, you have no recourse other than to contact an immigration lawyer when you get to your home country.  Maybe you will be lucky, and noone will notice the dates on your passport, however I think this is unlikely.  You will have to fill out an enty card, and they check that out against your details.  I wish you luck.  You`re going to need it.
