  1. Getting a remainder in an average just means that the total isn't divisible by whatever you're dividing it by... I'm a teacher...

Say your grades are 70, 75, and 81 and I want to find your average. It would be 75.333333... or 75 r1 -- because 226 isn't divisible by 3.

    Does that help?

  2. Hello. This is the guy from the animal gender question. Im sorry, but I cant remember how to do that. :( Sorry I cant help...

  3. means= you keep dividing and usually round to the nearest tenth

average= you usually shouldn't have remainders
