When you go to traffic court, you don't need an attorney, unless it is a felony case like evading, DUI, ADW...You will get to explain to the judge in 25 words or less why you were going that speed...It won't do any good because the judge has heard them all and then some...Just bring several hundred dollars with you and maybe someone to take you home.

Also, you might consider filing a lawsuit against the vehicle manufacturer for building a car capable of that speed plus they didn't put anything on the vehicle to keep you from going that fast.

Huge fine, reckless driving charge, points on your license, for starters.  Then, depending on your record, your insurance agent will be ticked off & may increase your premium to reflect the risk you have become.  

Don't file a lawsuit against the manufacturer for not putting a speed limiter on your vehicle.  They literally suck, especially if you need the extra speed to get around someone & you don't have it.  You are the one responsible for controlling your vehicle.  Hopefully you had a stupid moment & learned your lesson.  Be thankful you didn't blow a tire or had someone make a sudden lane change in front of you.

IF YOU STILL HAVE YOUR LICENSE IN YOUR POCKETYOUR DOING REALLY GOOD.  SAVE ALOT OF MONEY, BE PREPARED TO GO TO TRAFFIC SCHOOL AND OF COURSE SEVERAL POINTS ON YOUR LICENSE!  OH I FORGOT TO MENTION YOUR INSURANCE W I L L  GO UP!!!

Depends where it happened... and what the speed limit was on that highway.

If the limit was 55 or 65 you probably received a reckless driving ticket.....the judge is going to be pissed. Get a lawyer. Worse case scenerio is a big fine.... $400+ and possible suspension of your drivers license for a month or two....unless you have alot of previous tickets\violations in which case the judge could be harsher.
