  1. Why do you have them if you know you are not suppose to? Yours dogs will be put don't if the area you live in has a ban on that breed. You will get a fine, no jail time usually. You know there is a ban on them and you let her breed also. Horrible.

I don't believe in ban on certain breeds but if you live in an area that does you really need to obey them.

  2. is it illegal in you area...?why is it illegal ...if yes?if you have license its ok

but if you cannot have one you will have to see the police and be punished....(if they do catch you)

  3. You should be more worried about your dogs. Are you aware that they are going to be euthanized. No you cannot get them back unless you move to a place where they are legal and yes you will get a fine. People never stop amazing me.........

  4. You may get fined and your dogs may die.  I'd rustle up your wallet and call the newspapers, the Mayor, the Governor, and your Representative if you really want to try to save your dogs.

BSL  - Breed Specific Legislation - SUCKS - and if you have the financial stability and the will to fight it your dogs could become poster children in the battle to overthrow it.  Good Luck.

EDIT TO I AM ME:  How can you slam Pits yet call their puppies "precious" all in the same sentence?  Did you think Pit pups grow up tp be Poodles?

  5. Nothing

  6. I don't mean to sound too harsh but you shouldn't have gotten the dogs if they were illegal, whatever the reason (BSL, licensure, insurance, etc.). You have, more than likely, cost your dogs their lives. As you go forward, think through your next acquisition of a dog. Make sure you take a responsible approach next time.

  7. it depends on your local laws.  if they are in the banned breed, you will probably get a fine and the dogs will be put to sleep unless there is a rescue shelter that takes them after they have been confinscated

  8. Fine and the dogs are euthanized.

  9. What was illegal about it?

Does your city have breed-specific laws?

You should check your local laws, call your city even to see if there's anything you can do.

  10. It depends on your town laws. Sorry about the babies.

  11. Personally I wish you would get fined and thrown in jail. There is a reason why this particular breed is banned and it's because of the people who breed them (maybe not you, but majority do it for the wrong reason).

My question to you is WHY DID YOU ALLOW THE DOG TO HAVE PUPPIES IF IT'S ILLEGAL IN YOUR AREA??????

You just murdered 2 precious puppies because of your careless attitude towards law. I personally believe they should have removed the adult female as well. You don't deserve a dog...

  12. Depends on where you live how you bought the dogs and how you acted when they took them, in some cities they euthanize them asap for some reason :(

  13. I highly doubt it would be jail time, but I'm afraid its too late to get them back.

  14. The dogs will likely be put down, or given to a nearby town that pitties are allowed. Unless you move to where they are allowed, you will not get them back. Consequences depend on your area, and how the prosecutor feels that day.

  15. It depends on the law in your area.  How were they illegal? Unlicensed?  Or is it illegal to have them in your area?

I figure that if you are willing to break the law, you must be willing to deal with the consequences!

  16. Usually the owner gets a fine and the dogs are put down.  You can try to go to court to get them back, but if the law says their illegal then there probably isn't much you can do unless you can prove that they aren't pit bulls as specified in the law (since "pit bull" is a type of dog and not a specific breed, most anti pit bull laws must include a written description of what is considered a pit bull under the law).

  17. do you have insurance on your dog that can be one factor that could cause you a fine. but i would definitely fight to get my dogs back

  18. Are they illegal in your area, or are they illegal because you do not have them licensed and insured?  If it's because of licensing/insurance, you need to contact animal control right away, and find out what their requirements are.  You will need to act right away, though, before your dogs are put down.  If they are illegal in your area, I'm afraid you are out of luck.

  19. Lidia - you're probably a really nice and caring person ... however in this instance I think you've been extremely silly and uthinking ..... you must have known (or perhaps the words should be 'should have known to check first') that your breed of dog is unlawful where you are ... did you ever stop to think for a moment why? Have you ever met any of the people, or been to their gravesides, of the victims of this breed of dog?  I know I'm generalising a fair bit here because I'm sure your dog was very loving and affectionate and wouldn't hurt a fly.... however it's in the breed to turn on something smaller than a sixpence and become a dangerous animal.....the law is there to protect everyone - including you ..... then, outside of this aspect of the law.... knowing (or should have known) that your dog was illegal in your area because of it's breed - you allowed yourself and your family to get close to this animal, and it to you, there is probably extreme emotion and upset, tears and worry pn both your part, your family's part and the dog's part - a very unhappy and upsetting situation .... all because you were selfish and inconsiderate enough to ignore the law in your choice of breed .....

I feel for all of you - but most of all I feel for the dog......
