the dog is going to have a lot of energy,

he will chew on whatever he can reach

he will be really jumpy when off

he will probably dig

he will bark

and he may find a way to get off the chain and get out of your yard, in which case could bite somebody or get picked up by animal control, or both in which case he may be euthanized.

I had a dog chained up nearly 24 hours aday, but that was like when i was little.  So I dont remeber much about the dog

Dogs need attention, especially the amstaff or pitbull.  With out this attention and interaction lots of things can happen.

No dog should be left unsupervised for any amount of time where a kid, human, or other animals could come in contact with it.  Your asking for trouble.  Please add more details on why you would even ask this question?

It will become agressive, and if it ever gets loose, could take out that aggression on anyone that is close by.

If you have to keep your Staffie contained for that time period, you should invest in a crate. There are plenty of resources online for you to research regarding crate training.

I have two Pit mixes (both rescues) and they are crate trained.

I can leave house with peace of mind knowing that they are safe.

It's definitely better than chaining them.
