What happens when you report someone for abuse on Yahoo forums?

On Yahoo discussion forums there are so many posts that are racially intolerant and use profanity and racial slurs, what happens when you report them? Can reporting them have negative consequences for the one who does the reporting?

as far as i know, I've had one abuse report, and it was for me using the word "n*gger".

They have only warned me.

But, as for multiple warnings, I have yet to find out :)

Good question !!! I also reported someone as abusing the system by sending a message back with profanity. I thought this was and answer and question site in order for others to be able to find the answer that they are searching for. As all ways there are those who "think" they are hurting that person with all the non bull that they dish out. I was also told by one of the others on here that he reported me for not stating mine in a form of a'Question"? All I can say is hang in there.

I know that Male26_Virginia?????? has been reported numerous times (at least 25 times) and he still posts.

Of course, he has multiple aliases.

Oh, and that was him saying Male26_Virginia was arrested.
