What happens when you slowly pour rubbing alcohol (2-propanol) into water?

  1. It dissolves. Dissolving is a physical change because it's still 2-propanol when it's dissolved, it hasn't changed its chemical composition.  


  2. It would dissolve. Water and the isopropyle molecules form hydrogen bonds also, propanol is infinitely soluble in water.
