What happens when you take anti contraceptive pills during the first weeks of pregnancy?

well i was not aware that i was pregnant so i started taking anti contraceptive pills.. how will that affect the baby'? will it abort my baby without me wanting it to? what are the consequences of me taking anti contraceptives during pregnancy?

  1. A lot of people worry about this. But I have heard from a doctor that it is generally not an issue and cant cause a natural abortion or anything like that, but obviously it wouldnt be a good idea to continue takign them. Just make sure you discuss it with your doctor.  


  2. that depends on the type of oral contraceptive you are using.  most oral contraceptives work by telling your body it is already pregnant (by either increasing you amount of progesterone or causing your body to)  so you will have to consult your physician and provide the exact type of contraceptive used.
