  1. This is an incredibly serious situation. Not only would your friend be most likely immediately suspended indefinitely, she could also be prosecuted and invariably sent to juvenile detention or some such "jail". The student might also be barred from attending your school and therefore transferred.

It's a ridiculous and very juvenile way to handle your feelings. I would advise your friend to hold a meeting with the teacher and a counselor present to go over her feelings (rationally) about the class and what made her feel she needed to threaten said teacher. (This may best be accomplished by talking solely with the counselor first.)

At any rate, if serious threats were made to you about this teacher it is your duty to tell someone at the school, whether it's that teacher, a counselor, or another teacher that you trust. When anyone's safety is in question, you need to act. Obviously your friend needs some type of counseling for agression/anger management. She needs help and you are her only ticket to that before harm comes to someone else.

  2. Threatening anyone in school now is taken very serious. The student would probably be suspended until a hearing. And depending on the result of the hearing, could face time in a juvenile detention center or be expelled. You should report this to a teacher or your parents, a threat is not a joke, in fact, the majority of persons who have committed acts against teachers or other students told someone beforehand what they intended to do.

  3. Well, Funny enough this happened the other day at my school.

I go to Mooroolbark College, Victoria, Australia and I'm in Year 7.

A Girl threatened a teacher and she got expelled the next day. So It's considered very serious.
