What happens when you use walking shoes for running?

Well, I asked this q. a day ago, but I only got two answers so I was hoping I could get more input. Anyway-

I like to jog casually (maybe an hour or so every day around the city), and I bought a good pair of walking shoes a few days ago (New balance 743's).

Does it make a big difference if you run with walking shoes? Does it hurt your feet/legs?

Anything else I should be concerned about? Thanks for your help-

  1. The most obvious impact is that you should be a foot. Running is a great exercise, a pair of running shoes fit is very important, a direct impact on your status and the quality of running. I suggest that you choose for themselves a pair of running shoes. I personally prefer nike ,I have a air max bought at www.features-clothing.com,you can see my blog:http://shocking1214.blogs.experienceproj...

  2. you'll be fine or atleast your shoes will be Go Run

  3. I used to run for shaftesbury barnet harriers & my school & county.........Many moons ago..........

Footwear CORRECT footwear is essential. depending on how far your running you could be getting yourself into all sorts of long term knee & hip problems also lower back aswell. Please invest in a proper pair of running shoes for your own health. My knees aren't too healthy & I DID have the right footwear. I'm by no means a cripple & can still run for last orders but I'm not sure I'd manage a marathon. Also TOP TIP......wherever possible try to run on grass. it provides more cushioning & is a bit less relentless than tarmac & paving slabs!

  4. It is best to have an actual running shoe. It's not THAT big of a deal, but since you are worried about it enough to ask the question twice, then you should have just bought running shoes.

  5. yes. i wont really hurt ur feet that much. but its gunna kill ur shins.

  6. you get shin splits

THEY HURT LIKE CRAZYYY dont run without them ive made this mistake alot take my advice wear runnin shoes

  7. If you run LOTS of miles its better for you to have running shoes or else your feet can get messed up. I run alot and the Nike Air Span 4+ are the perfect running shoes.

  8. when you use walking shoes, casual shoes, or cross training shoes, you'll get injured. esecially since you're running around an hour a day. the proper shoes are almost always the cause of injuries such as calf injuries, shin splints, IT band (hip area) injuries, and other injuries. i'd advise you to get actual running shoes. unless you're a serious runner, you can get cheaper running shoes at stores like Sports Authority

try RoadRunner or a specialty running store.

if not, try sports authority or sports chalet
