  1. negative effect

  2. when your ball goes into a water hazard, you can drop at the nearest point of entry, add 1 stroke..

if the ball goes in the sand or long grass, no penalty, but play as it lies..

  3. pick it up, drop it, add a stroke

  4. if it land in water you lose a ball and add a stroke

if it lands in sand you get yer sand wedge out and hit it out

in long grass you get an iron out and smack that ball.

usually you can just play it safe and ..............nevermind.

  5. When the ball goes in the water you add 1 stroke to your score. If it is in the sand or long grass you are not penalized anything, it is treated as if it were in the fairway. Keep golfing and enjoy.

  6. Ball in water?, have a look can you play the ball, yes you are allowed too if you think you can get it out, there is NO shot penalty if you adopt to hit it out. Although it you happen to ground your club prior to hitting ball then you are given a shot penalty.

If you cant play the ball, then you are penalised a shot, redrop ball either in a drop zone or entry of ball into hazard (do not drop back into hazard, if so redrop it without penalty)

Sand, usually bunkers, you can play the ball without penalty, althou you must not touch the sand prior too hitting the ball. No penalty for hitting in or out of sand, although penalty is added if club touches sand.

Long grass, play as it lies NO penalty added.
