What happens when your hubby is deployed and you have to evacuate?

Lets say fay comes my way , and my hubby is TDY and he has the GTC. Will I get reimbursed For travel and expences if we are told we have to leave base and be 500 miles away? Last time he was here for it and we were told to use his GTC.

you do what they tell you to do and evacuate. save all of your reciepts and turn them in when you get back. the navy (in my case living on the gulf of mexico) will re-emburse you up to $400.

here, they give you a choice to go evacuate to a safe area, or go to lackland air force base in san antonio.

ahh yes, NEOs.. fun times...

basically it's best to just use your own CC.   and file for reimbursement.,  doesn't always happen quickly though.  and many expenses associated with NEOs are NOT covered.

I haven't had to deal with this but DH says just go talk to Finance and they should be able to tell u all u need to know.... Good luck!!
