Does it stay there? or does it go any further? or does it go back to 000,000? I'm refering to 6 digit non digital ones. And has anyones ever come this close?

Thanks...

Ps: would be hard trying to sell a car with a million kms lol

  1. It goes back to 000,000.  My friend's car did this.  It's not a problem because it should be obvious by then that the car isn't new.

  2. it would be impossible to sell but the manufacturer may by it if it ever gets that far

my truck just hit 1,042,000 million miles, 2000 international 9900

  3. When all digits show "9", the next reading is "0"

  4. yes, it goes back to beginning 000,001 and rolls forwards again.

Once upon a time car odometers only went up to 99,999

I know, because even though I had a "fix or repair daily" (FORD) I managed to get it to 200,000 miles before I sold it (because it would not run any more) and its odometer only went up to 99,999 & I knew how far I had driven it because it had got up to 99,999 twice already.

  5. it goes back to 0 on older models. and it can be done with a drill, it doesnt have to be driven tht far

  6. It depending on how many digits your odometer supports.  If you have an analog odometer and you only have 6 digits, then it will reset to 000,000.  If you have an analog odometer with 7 digits or a digital odometer, it will advance to 1,000,000.
