What happperns when i leave my phone on on a plane?

well they say they can "bring down planes" witch many reports say different and done sommet to the masts ????

i think they should be alowed if its on silent you dont call mutch and just go on msn or text

It is highly, highly unlikely that your phone will interfere with the plane's systems.

I've been on planes where either I forgot to turn off my phone, or someone else didn't. I remember one time, we were going in for a rough and quite frankly terrifying landing, and everyone on the plane was silent.. and then, breaking through the silence, was an American Serenade ringtone. The guy got alot of glares.

That said, KEEP your phone off. With the variety of different models, there may be some out there that will interfere with the plane's systems. It's best not to risk it-- you can live without your phone for a few hours! If you really need to contact someone, many planes have on-board phones in the seat in front of you, that you can use if you have a credit card.

When you leave the phone on, there is a 1 in a billion chance it could interfere with the aircraft's instruments and cause a crash.  

Yes, many people have done it (myself included, by accident when I put my phone in my checked luggage when it was still on), and the plane didn't crash.

But when we're talking about something as serious as a plane crash, isn't 0 in a billion better than 1 in a billion?

You are in violation of flight crew instructions.....a Federal offense........you could bunk with Buba........its serious....they.don't mess around with people like you on an aircraft any more.....and thats a good thing......
