  1. He gives me hope that the old man (McCain) does not have a chance to continue the ways of his cohort george Bush, driving this country into ground with it's $3 trillion unjustified war.

  2. When he was 24, he became a community organizer. Yes, I know that sounds lame, but he was only 24. The biggest accomplishment that most people can say they've done by the time they're 24 is maybe get elected class president by popularity and good-looks. He raised the annual budget from $70k to $400k and set up job-training programs, tenant rights organizations and a college prep program.

He directed the Illinois Project Vote.

He voted in favor of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act.

He was the primary sponsor of the "Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act."

I know that these are just his occomplishments, and not something so personal, but it's the issues that are important. It's not about how Palin's family seems nice to eat moose with, or how huggable McCain looks.

Obama has always seemed to take what he does seriously, and is responsible for it. Academically, the schools he's gotten into (without the help of checking "African-American" in his applications) were much more challenging than McCain's.

McCain, as he has said, voted with the president 90% of the time. I'm not satisfied with that. I really do want the "change."

Bush was experienced, and he's messed up our economy. 10 billion every month to the war, and he hasn't made a plan of getting out. Most vacations taken out of the White House.

But Obama seems passionate about whatever he does.

And Palin is a joke. She's built a hockey rink and took pretty pictures of herself in silk skirts and heels.

  3. getting young people involved in politics... but that's about it.

  4. he is a socialist.

  5. "For" me?  Nothing.  Now "to" me is another story...

  6. zero  like always  he is just there to pickup his pay check

  7. not a d**n thing

  8. he has overtaken my tv screen instead of the porno i paid for.

    always taking my money.

  9. OMG....He made me become a more productive person. He's just very inspiring. He made me become a better american.

  10. Zero,Nada, Nothing ,Zilch. The only change he can bring is a bunch of hog wash....bd

  11. Well, he voted Present and he was A Community Organizer

But I was the President of the International Relations Club too

    can I be POTUS?

  12. He has made me understand just how much black folks despise me and mine for being white.

  13. Me and my friends get to do a shot every time he says the word "CHANGE!!"

We end up passing out drunk within 3 minutes. . .

  14. He has supported abortion right, lol

  15. Zero, nada, zilch..

  16. Nothing.

But if he's elected he'll give you change....in your pockets.

  17. I live in Illinois . . . so he has done more than you know.

    1. Sponsored the “Higher Education through Pell Grant Expansion Act”.

    2. Co-sponsored the “Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act” proposed by John McCain.

    3. Amended the “Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act” proposed by Arlen Specter.

    4. Supported the “Secure Fence Act” to build fences and other security along the Mexican border.

    6. Was the primary sponsor of the “Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act,” which was signed into law December 22, 2006.

    7. The “Coburn-Obama Transparency Act” would create a web site listing all organizations receiving federal funding from 2007 onward. It would provide a breakdown of which agencies gave out funds, what organizations received funds, and what the funds were used for.

    8. He joined Russ Feingold in passing a bill to strengthen legislation regulating legigslators’ travel on corporate jets.

    9. Along with Charles Schumer he passed a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections including fraudulent flyers and automatic phone calls.

    10. Co-sponsored a bill on climate change with John McCain to reduce greenhouse gases by 2/3 by 2050.

His accomplishments in the private sector:

    1. Headed a non-profit organization assisting churches to organize job training programs.

    2. After receiving his law degree magna *** laude from Harvard, he directed a Chicago area voter registration drive.

2a. He was elected Harvard Law Review’s first “black” president.

    3. As an attorney with with Miner, Barnhill & Galland from 1993 to 1996, he represented community organizers, discrimination claims, and voting rights cases.

    4. He was a lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School from 1993 until his election to the Senate in 2004.

  18. nothing at all  : [

  19. He really was the wrong choice for the Democratic Party. Hillary is such a stronger candidate, and she is not on the ticket. Her Experience alone, is much greater than his complete resume.

As a person who is looking at the nominees thoroughly, I must say, that I don't like the qualifications of Obama. He is a weaker choice for the democrats. Hillary was a stronger voice with a plan.

Obama, I noticed, likes to talk around problems- and seems to be unprepared with foreign issues.

I don't agree with all of Mccain's viewpoints, but he is firm on his decisions.

I thinks the debates will really influence myself and others starting Oct. 2nd.

  20. Obama-Hagel Nuclear Weapons Threat Reduction Act (S. 1977)

Chuck Hagel is a Republican from Nebraska.

P.S. Don't let the others fool you, Obama does have the experience. Just because you don't hear about it doesn't mean it's not there.

    And there's more.

  21. He made me believe that this country may not be entirely worthless.

  22. Nothing. Obama has never done anything for the people only to the people.

  23. He bored me to death.

    Obama will NEVER:

    create jobs in small towns

help the homeless get a home (especially homeless Vets.).

help people who can't afford a car--any car--to purchase one

And the one thing that his supporters claim he will do is unite this country.  It will never happen!  America has a better chance of having another civil war than Obama uniting it.

  24. Kept me in the real world after listening for 2 days at the RNC.

  25. I don't know what he may or may not have done lately (other than waste my time via media attention) but I am more concerned by how his potential election would waste my money and destroy the economy.

    NoBama is NoAnswer.

  26. He has shown us that not all that glitters is made of gold.

  27. Obama's major speech converted that moron co-worker at the water cooler from ron paul independent to Obama democrat.

Man, that guy threw out all his ron paul c**p and has been putting up Obama/Biden posters all over the office.

    The POWER of that man!

Oh, yeah! With Russ Feingold he banned lobbyist money from polluting the pols at lunch time. No meals, no gifts!

YOU try taking a free lunch from a fat cat republican and see how the voting goes!

  28. You're worried about petty bills as the Bush admin has been passing bills to take away citizen's rights and move us further away from the constitution. Obama is worried about the people who have suffered through the past 8 years, and the way the US is now looked down upon throughout the world. He's worried about the drop off of the dollar, people losing their homes, dependence on oil when there are clearly other alternatives.

So while you continue to look at the very small picture, he looks at the big picture and that is what his focus has always been on.

  29. Obama has not authored any major legislation, nor has he attached his name to any reform bill.

Obama picked a Washington insider as his VP.

I'm not seeing any change. Based upon the conversations from the Dems, I'm not seeing any unification of the country either.
