What has Smokey the Bear been up to lately? Is he opening supermarkets or what?

He teamed up with Yogi for a while then ran off with little boo boo.  Yogi was devastated.

The original Smokey retired from the public display in 1975, after 25 years of service. He passed away later that year. His adopted son carried on for him until 1990. The character of Smokey lives on, a reminder to people across the world of the dangers of fire.

Smokey was arested behind the Old Navey in Apleocha TN. Thats in the mts. He was smoking and it wasnt something legal if you know what i mean. He said he was sorry but the judge still gave him 11/29 and after that he started a life of crime. When he was in the pin he lernt how the pick locks and pop open window seels. He didnt want to but felt he had no choice since he was fired as the rep. of animal in the forest. So If someone breaks in to you home or stills you cop think twice about calling the police it could be smokey.

Memories, misty watercolored smokey memories.  I remember posters and commercials featuring Smoky when I was a kid back in the sixties.

I think they retired him, the question is what has replaced him.  I do not think Smokey did store openings by the way.  School assemblies, and county fairs is my guess.

Bears don`t live for ever.He`s got to be very old by now,Maybe he`s retired and living in Florida.All i know is i have not seen him in years.

The US Forest Service is still the proud keeper of the Smokey image.  Out here in the West the Ranger in the Smokey costume still goes to county fairs, parades and schools.  I don't know why he isn't on TV anymore perhaps the stations don't think its an important public service announcement.

He is sleeping after putting out all the fires that had been burning.  His fire is out (pardon the pun).
