im doing an assignment on air quality n i would like to know what america has done in order to help the air quality/pollution? thanks!

Well, for some reason our government thinks raising taxes will start making us see the error of our ways.

EPA oversight and general industrial efficiencies have made for surprisingly clean air, especially when  considering the high level of industrial productivity and energy use.

Legislation (in some states) for vehicle emissions is some of the most stringent n the world!

So, in short, the US has done much to control and mitigate industrial and vehicle exhaust air pollution .
