Second is usain "lightning" bolt world record in the 100m. Celebrating before crossing the finish line is PHENOMENAL

  7. everyone will say Usain Bolt, of course he was amazing, but the guy who won the silver for GB in the high jump was pretty awesome as he was never expected to win a medal. Plus Becky Addlington winning the 400 and 800m in swimming she was amazing, first gold for GB since like the 60s or something :)

  8. Usain Bolt in the 100 m, Shalane Flanagan in the 10000 m. India's first individual gold in shooting.

Oh and today in the modern pentathlon when they did the show jumping bit and were all given a load of useless donkeys to ride

  13. The whole British Track Cycling Team !

7 Gold. 3 Silver. 2 Bronze on the track. An all time record for one country.

  22. My favorite part was watching gymnastics.

  23. My favourite athlete this year has been Becky Adlington, a great performance from a great girl!  My most enjoyable sport though has been the cycling where team GB totally dominated the rest of the world, and there still may be more to come from Shanaze in the BMX tomorrow

  24. I thought that Usain Bolt was just madly amazing but...

Christine Ohorague (I have no clue on earth how to spell that) who I think won the gold in the birds nest after managing to work her way up in the final 50m-40m to the front?

I dont no if it was actually her but my father was down on his knees pressing his face RIGHT up to the TV saying: "GO ON!!!! GO ON!!! GET IN THERE!!! COME ON RUN RUN RUN!!!"

It was a bit scary really...lol

  25. Michael Phelps' 8 gold medals, followed by Nastia Liukin's 5 medals, Usain Bolt record breaking WR's in the 100M and 200M, Misty May and Kerri Walsh getting back to back Golds in beach volleyball, The Redeem Team winning Gold....quite a bit actually, probably too much to name.

  26. British domination of track cycling has been the highlight for me. It's been coming for several years after the setting up of a national cycling centre in Manchester and it didn't really surprise me that Britain won so many gold medals in the velodrome.
