What has caused the current inflation (fuel prices) in Australia?

  1. This is a global issue, not just Australia.  Eastern countries (e.g. China) are growing so quickly, people are making money, then they buy cars, which need more gas.  The ability to supply this much more oil that is wanted drives the price up.  Supply and demand on a global scale.
