What has hapend to Simon Jones Of The England Cricket team

He won them the Ashes then got injured and hasnt been selected in the england sqaurd yet. is he injured? or doesnt have what he used to

Simon Jones is currently playing First Class cricket for Worcestershire in England in the County Championship Division 2

Last year Jones played 3 First Class games, barely took any wickets and he looked a shadow of his former self. He was bowling badly and he had put on a bit of weight.

BUT

Over the winter he moved counties from Glamorgan to Worcestershire, this enabled him to play with a better squad, use better facilities and see better coaches about his game.

Jones is now playing full-time again, he is bowling at about 87MPH which is almost his full speed, and most importantly he is taking wickets for Worcestershire

The reason why Jones hasnt been selected is because he has bowled considerably less overs than his rivals. Mid way through a season i heard a stat that Jones had bowled half the overs that his rival Steve Harmison had bowled.

The future looks bright for Jones though, he has been included in the 30 man squad for the ICC Champions Trophy and he is taking more and more wickets with every game
