What has happened?? TTC?

I am approx 2 weeks late for my period. About a week (ish) ago I did a pregnancy test, which immediatly showed up positive then within the 5 minute waiting time faided to negative. I dismissed it as a negative test and decided to re-test this later this week.

However.... when I was in the bath last night I suffered quite bad blood loss and what seemed to be "tissue" There were blood clots and a stringy white substance?! This was accompanied with really bad cramps - at the time I thought it was my period but today I have almost completely stopped bleeding.

I have no idea what this is but feel a little concerned.....

Any ideas?

  1. Sounds like you miscarried. Make a DR appt and go and get checked. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck hun.

  2. That what happened when I miscarried :( I had gotten a positive pregnancy test and I was about 8 or 9 weeks and i woke up at like 4 am bleeding with terrible cramps. I tried calling my BF but I couldn't even talk. So try to take another test and if it comes out like the last one call the doctor. *BaBy DuSt YoUr WaY* (=

  3. I've never experienced a positive fading on a test, i still have a test that shows positive from 6 years ago.So heres hoping you weren't pregnant.

However what you described could easily be a miscarriage. I would make an appointment with your Gp asap. If this was infact a miscarriage  you may need a D+C.

good luck to you and don't give up hope! take care x

  4. It sure sounds like it could have been a miscarriage. My advice would be to call your doctor. You may need to be checked out, especially if it was a miscarriage. I'm sure if you called and explained what happened to your doctor he/she could tell you what to do.

  5. I may be wrong (and i'm very sorry if i'm right) but doesn't this mean that you were pregnant but had a miscarriage?

  6. A positive result will remain on a test for AT LEAST 48 hours. As someone else said, the positive often remain for years.

Sometime when the liquid is passing over the test it makes it look as if it is positive for a moment when actually it's not.

If the test was negative at 5 minutes then I think you have to take that as a negative.

It is possible that you have suffered a very early miscarriage. Equally, it might have just been your period.

If you have stopped bleeding then it's unlikely there is too much to worry about and you should just take this as the first day of your period and carry on TTC.

    Best of luck.

  7. you should take another hpt, and if negative and still no period, talk to your doctor to make sure everything is ok...since we don't know if you were pregnant and bleeding :( in the meantime you can also ask a doctor online for free for advice, try fertilityties.com

    good luck!!

  8. i had the same. I miscarried. sorry to say that.
