What has happened to Yahoo groups?

Typing URL groups.yahoo.com or clicking on the groups link on the Yahoo home page just gets the web page not found response!

It is not just you having problems it is a problem of some kind with groups, so I am answering some questions and getting some points instead.

Good question.  I've been wondering that myself. First I was the "page not found" message so I started sending emails to the group from my personal address.  All of the emails I sent were returned with the message, "your account has been disabled because an autoresponse feature has been enabled".  What the h**l is that???  Then I started getting the message that I wasn't a member.  Now?  There's no groups at all.  All of them have seemingly disappeared.  What gives, Yahoo?

I had the same problem several times over the last 2 days. Hoping it is just a glitch.

You're not alone. Everyone I know has not been able to access Groups since last night!  They should at LEAST

send a file to Group moderators to explain the problem

and give a rough timeline so we don't have to answer

individual inquiries!

I sent in an email about what happened to me. Last night I installed IE7 and the Phishing Tool was causing a problem with me accessing my groups this morning. Now that I see others are having the same problem then I feel it may be Yahoo itself.

Too bad because I wanted to remind one of my groups about Tin Man tomorrow night.
