I see these girls in middle school wearing DARK DARK eyeliner and all this other make-up and look like they are in 9th when they're in 6TH! They wear all these Forever21 clothes that are made for highschoolers and over, not for 11-13 middle schoolers! And then I see these girls on Yahoo! Answers or at school desperately wanting to be like them and buying thongs behind their mothers backs! It makes me sad these girls look up to these horrible role-models. What has happened to these girls ? What happened to looking your age ?!

  1. Most girls are trying to be more mature by experimenting with new things like make up and wearing more mature clothing. I am in 7th grade and no girl in my grade is doing drugs and alcohol but some boys are. THat girl that mentioned the "identity phase" was right but some are just posing and being stupid in order to seem cool while others are just trying to find what they like.

  2. Girls are being exposed to a lot of that kinda stuff lately. Notice in magazines, commercials etc.

It also depends on who their role model is.

  3. have you seen the clothes made for 12 year olds now? The clothes are too grown for them.

  4. Er...I only wear thongs for volleyball, I don't want panty lines...lawl.

I wear black eyeliner because I have tanned skin and dark hair, so brown would barely show up on me.

Who said Forever21 was only for highschoolers?

But then again...I'm a freshman now, so yeah. :P

  5. its their choice.sometimes its inevitable.

i have to wear thongs for volleyball. other leaves pantylines with the spandex. i have to wear black eyeliner. brown eyeliner doesn't show up.

  6. I don't know, but it annoys me ( a sophmore in highschool) when I see a little 12 year old try to wear clothes that were meant for my age!

  7. I agree. Its so awkward when I see what appears to be an attractive girl at the end of the hall-sidewalk, and a few seconds later, notice she's probably 12 and I feel like a huge perv. I'm 16 (and a strait guy) and think its not right. It makes things more confusing than they need to be.

  8. At that age, we girls go through that whole "identity" phase. You know, where you're trying to figure out who you are. Using makeup, buying more mature clothing, etc. is all part of that. We all went through it, every generation, maybe just not in the same way.

Of course, the media definately has a role in that. Making girls think that they have to look a certain way to be beautiful - but that goes for all women. Blame the media!

  9. It's sems that they keep trying to outdo eachother and from there it only gets worse and worse, As for the women that are the role models, they have allowed normal insecurities turn them into trashy monsters. God bless the future of our young women.

  10. idk but it makes me sad, i'm 16  (i probably look younger than that) and i DON'T want to look older, i mean what's the point? to attract creepy guys that just want to have s*x with you? no thanks i'll pass...it's perfectly normal for girls to want to look cute or beautiful, but nowadays all you hear is 'i want to be hot/s**y' even in elementary school, it's disturbing...it kind of scares me to think that my little sister will grow up and become like them, and at the rate we're going she will probably end up wearing make up when she gets into 3rd grade or something

  11. miley cyrus happened

  12. No idea. I get what your saying, there are people I know who are in grade 7 and 8 doing hard drugs, drinkin and having s*x. I dont understand why they do that, but it's not cool
