  1. I farted and the whole thing blew apart

  2. It was dying out like 1930s planes being produced but recently its been rising. like the sukhoi superjet etc.

  3. The cold war was a driving force in aerospace development and sales around the world, especially in the Soviet Union and the U.S. When it ended, everybody lost some business. The majority of the Russian aerospace industry was made up of government projects. After the government's collapse, the money dried up. Even now, the Russian economy isn't strong enough to support heavier taxation so, as a result, there's less money for military aircraft. However, the Russian economy is improving dramatically and the government is finding itself in need of replacements for a lot of aging aircraft, so we may be seeing some new work done outside of Sukhoi and MiG soon.

  4. It seemed like it didn't take long to see Aeroflot using DC-10 freighters and Boeing and Airbus aircraft.  The Russian aviation industries latest product is the Sukhoi Superjet 10.*  The Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a modern, fly-by-wire regional jet in the 75 to 95-seat category. The Superjet 100 will be produced by Russian aerospace firm Sukhoi's civil division The Major subcontractors include Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Ilyushin, Yakovlev, and PowerJet.
