i would say they raised awareness to the cruelty and needless suffering of sentient animals in labs.they are good people.

They have managed to become a bona fide domestic terrorist group listed with Homeland Security. Athough they have done much good in helping America and the world become aware of the need to protect animals from cruelty and abuse their ways at times cannot be justified. Violence is usually met only by more violence. Due to these random acts they will probably never get credit for all the good they have done.
