why do these people not have the same human rights as the immigrant australians who have been populating the country for the last 200 years?

are you too busy reading the works of odd ball reality tv contestant germaine greer while turning your country into a police state and feminising your men folk?

  1. Q:  What have australian feminists done for the aboriginal people?

A:  Australian feminists haven't killed Aboriginal peoples for sport:

"On March 5, 1772, a French expedition led by Nicholas Marion du Fresne landed on the island. Within a few hours his sailors had shot several Aborigines. On January 28, 1777, the British landed on the island. Following coastal New South Wales in Australia, Tasmania was established as a British convict settlement in 1803. These convicts had been harshly traumatized and were exceptionally brutal. In addition to soldiers, administrators, and missionaries, eventually more than 65,000 men and women convicts were settled in Tasmania. A glaringly inefficient penal system allowed such convicts to escape into the Tasmanian hinterland where they exercised the full measure of their blood-lust and brutality upon the island's Black occupants. According to social historian Clive Turnbull, the activities of these criminals would soon include the "shooting, bashing out brains, burning alive, and slaughter of Aborigines for dogs' meat."

That was all white men's doing.

  2. When you're spewing hate it's hard to inject even an ounce of logic. We're not interested in your rants honey.

  3. Names like Daisy Bates and Fiona Stanley come to mind they are worth 10 of 1 Germaine Greer any day.

Also we elected our government to do the right thing for Australia no matter if it is apologising to the stolen generation or pulling our troops out of Iraq or fixing our hard fought for industrial relations but the main reason was we were sick of our PM sticking his head firmly up Bushs **** and trying to Americanise us no matter what s*x we are.

  4. Feminists of all countries carry a banner with the word "equality" on it, but their actions speak louder than words.

    Feminists want privileges without responsibilities.

  5. Well, the last big thing a lot of us did was elect a government which has begun to make real change.

Personally, I also work with an organisation which works with Aboriginal people in remote communities to provide education and practical support.

In my private life I am a member of an organisation which works with aboriginal people to help provide practical support for those who want it, and which has a special emphasis on providing assistance to children from aboriginal backgrounds.

I might add that both organisations are heavily populated with feminist women as well as progressive men, working together perfectly amicably towards worthwhile goals.

Not everyone thinks people of different political and philosophical persuasions can't work together. Most people in the real world are grown ups :-).

As far as human rights go, not every Australian thinks in a single way about this.

You might want to break your question down into bit size chunks and if you want real answers I'm sure there are people who can give them to you.

If you're just trying to stir the pot, sorry ~ there are plenty of Australians discussing this one, already.

As for being a police state, I think that prize might go to your country ~ more ctv cameras than anywhere else in the world, and a nation afraid of its young men ~ drunken thugs in hoodies with violence on their minds. A nice legacy your views are leaving!

I won't say anything about 'feminised' Australian men, but simply invite you to make your views known in person some night in any of the pubs out my way. You might find you think differently before too long :-)

    Cheers :-)

  6. Why have you singled out feminists as opposed to human rights activists?

Most Australian's were all for the apology that Aboriginal communities have said they needed for so long!

I am aware there are other issues, but trust me, 'feminists' are in a similar category. If you want to single out a 'group' of people you should look more towards the 'white males' who came to this country originally and treated Aborigines like slaves and scum. They are all dead now but the effect they had on the Aboriginal community and those that followed has been pretty devastating. Most people recognise this.

I'm a feminist and I advocate for human rights all the time. Be careful what you say and who you target for blame - You need to back it up with logic!
