What have the democrats done to stop using oil??? Have they stopped driving?? Stopped taking plastic bags from the grocery store??

Do they turn out their lights and sit in the dark???

Apparently that is what polosi and reid want, they refused to put the energy bill to the floor, then they went home for 5 weeks. SO I guess they really do not care.

But I am waiting for my genuine obama tire gauge to come in the mail. It has a little obama head on it with a rag on top.

I love Y/A because of diversity. When I ask questions, many times I get answers I don't agree with, but I give them a thumbs-up. Sometimes they will get best Answer.

What is so funny is how people will pick a group to hate and ignore the entire picture. The Democrats who are regular citizens are probably more apt to recycle, give up the driving, give to those who are less fortunate.

But it was good to see the few who took advantage of the Energy Credits quickly, got their ranches all energy efficient, then phased it out. They knew how high energy would go, because they sleep in the same place.

The man with an invisible rag on his head; who walks hand in hand with those he loves is presently sitting at the White House right now.

Let me ask what you would have done?

I am not supporting either party on this because I think they are both blowing smoke up your butt.

If you think conservation measures will solve the problem you are living in a fantasy world.

If you think that there are vast reserves of oil hidden in the ground under very restricted nature reserves you are clearly delusional.

The truth is there are very small amounts of oil that can be tapped at extremely high costs. In most cases the costs come very close to one barrel of oil spent for every barrel brought to market.

Yes Obama is right when he says making sure your tires are properly inflated will gain as much as drilling would gain you. This also is an incomplete solution and does nothing to solve the big problem. While oil should not be squandered you can conserve all you want but it is still a vanishing resource.

This answer fails to address the fact most people are feeling the pinch at the pumps and have no reasonable alternatives.

High cost from speculation also confuses the issue.

But turning this into a political balloon for politicians to punch around is the worst thing that could ever have happened.

You will get no solutions at all while it is an election campaign issue.

You will not even get any real discussion about it, just overblown rhetoric instead.
