What have you achieved lately within your mental illness?

no matter how small you may think your achievement is, share it. let's try and build up a bit of self esteem here. let's try and make ourselves feel good, and admire others for their achievements.

i'll start us off. on holiday recently i managed not to dwell on my negative thoughts,managed to distract myself, and battled against suicidal thoughts.

now it's your turn. :)

  1. i have managed not to cut myself for 5 days....hopefully the start of a cut free life


  2. Sometimes I now manage to think more rationally about things which helps calm me down and stop me from getting severly depressed about things or from doing something to harm myself. i have managed to join a mental health organisation and start a computer course..so i guess that is good!

  3. Well, Im being positive and very hopefull here-well that's a first in itself! I go down to visit my sister for 5 days tomorrow and I promise not to self harm at all. Normally not one day goes past that I don't so it would be a great achievement for me. Fingers crossed!

  4. I recently got my daughter back. We have joint custody but he didnt want me to have her because I am bipolar. The judge laughed at him and awarded me to have my daughter. That is my biggest achievement lately.
